AnotationThe aim of the one-year project is to analyse and describe the linguistic means of expressing and conveying emotionality in the German language, using the example of the well-known German tragicomedy Good Bye, Lenin! (2003) by Wolfgang Becker. The focus will be on life in the former GDR and the so-called ostalgia and its mirroring in various forms and adaptations of this film (film with audio description for the visually impaired, film script, book adaptation in the so-called plain language). The research team consists of one academic (proposer) and one PhD student (co-investigator). The motivation for submitting this thematically unique project on an under-researched topic is to support further independent research by a PhD student with a visual impairment under the guidance of an academic. The output of this project will be the analysis of the language material, a study in a peer-reviewed journal and the active participation of members of the research team in an international scientific conference.
