AnotationThe essence of the project is to study and publish the collection Miracula beate Marie Visitacionis, composed by the Prague archbishop John of Jenstein (d. 1400), one of the most prominent (yet little researched) authors of Czech-Latin medieval literature. The research team, consisting of academics (3) and of talented students of the master study program (4), will examine the transmission of the work, prepare its critical edition and translation into Czech, subject the work to the textual and literary-historical analysis, and publish results of the research in the form of a collective monograph and two studies in the peer-reviewed journals. The aim of the project is to develop the knowledge and skills that students acquire in the compulsory courses of the master study program, and to teach students how to applicate them in scientific work. At the same time, the students will use the acquired knowledge and competences when elaborating their diploma theses.
