AnotationThe project "Medieval Written Sources and Possibilities of Their Research and Interpretation II" follows on from the previous project of the same name, which lasted for one year (2022). It also loosely follows on from previous project plans solved within the Vivarium Center, which were dedicated to learning about various aspects of medieval society, culture and sources. The main contribution and goal of the proposed project is, similarly to previous years, the intensive involvement of doctoral and master's students in the study of medieval written sources, focusing on the possibilities of their interdisciplinary research, analysis and interpretation. The project will focus on written sources of domestic and foreign provenance and individual documents will be examined by members of the research team with regard to various methodological and interpretive starting points. Students will deal with the issue in terms of the topics of their graduation theses and the project should lead students to develop their own professional work and independent publishing activities in professional journals or in monographs as a necessary and desirable element of scientific work. The activities within the project will also include active presentations at the colloquium, which will be organized within the project, or participation in other conferences. The project will also include small workshops led by team members from among the participating academics. The aim of the project is to expand the professional competence of students, especially the ability of independent, original research and work with written sources. The main outputs of the project will be prepared monographs and professional studies of all members of the research team, which will be published in peer-reviewed professional periodicals (part will be published abroad).
