Workshop on Regional Studies

On 24 June 2026, a workshop about „Landeskunde“, or regional studies, was held by OeAD lecturer Katharina Schmidt. The students of the teacher training college in Krnov got to know the countries of the DACHL region in a fun and interactive way. First, they had to mark German-speaking places on an interactive map. They then arranged themselves physically to form a „human map“, standing in their respective locations and describing what they had already done there. This was followed by a cities quiz, in which the students worked in teams to guess the names of German-speaking cities from pictures. The workshop concluded with a „DACHL-ABC“, in which all students had to find a suitable city for each letter.
