| Anotation | This project aims to analyse the process of modernization of commercial education in Cisleithania in the years 1848-1918. It will present the key trends, patterns, processes and socio-economic context of this process. The core of this project lies in the wide application of the comparative method by combining macro-approach and micro-analysis, and in the study of a topic that received very little attention in the scope of the Cisleithanian region of the Habsburg monarchy. Using probes, we will descend to the level of selected schools, sites and regions. The project will include analyses of attitudes to commercial education at the central, provincial, regional and local levels, research on involvement by the public administration, municipal and provincial governments, professional organizations and associations. |
