The Dean of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava announces a selection procedure, reference number: OU-93279/25-2024, to fill an academic position of:
- lector with focus on teaching synchronic disciplines (phonetics, morphology, language practice, conversation for foreigners) at the Department of Czech Language
Expected starting date:
- 1st of October, 2024, or by agreement.
Working hours:
- part-time: 50 %, or by agreement.
Language in which the selection procedure will be conducted:
- Czech.
Salary:
- according to the Internal Wage Regulations of the University of Ostrava.
Job description:
- participates in teaching in bachelor's and master's study programmes, including supervising and opposing final theses;
- teaches Czech language courses for foreigners;
- participates in activities related to Czech for foreigners;
- may participate in creative activities (artistic activities, research, development, innovation).
Requirements:
- Master's degree in the field of Czech language and literature, Bohemian studies, Czech philology, Czech for foreigners or in a related field;
- 5 years of experience in teaching Czech;
- willingness to participate in the qualification growth of the Institute and in the activities of the Institute (courses, summer school, didactic seminars, popularization and promotion of courses, teaching texts, citizenship examinations);
- prerequisites for pedagogical and scientific research activities (conference presentations, publications, projects);
- knowledge of the English language at B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- started doctoral studies (Ph.D.) an advantage;
- proactive approach, systematic and independent;
- excellent communication and organizational skills;
- civil and moral integrity.
