The Dean of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava announces a selection procedure, reference number: OU-46940/25-2024, to fill a non-academic position of:
- Researcher IV in cognitive psychology

Job description:
Researcher IV:
- determines the direction of research, development and innovation activities in the given field,
- is a leading scientific personality who significantly participates in the development of the given field on an international scale and leads larger research Teams,
- independently solves complex scientific research tasks with importance for the development of the field, initiates research projects, leads a research team and cooperates with foreign researchers,
- has an active publishing activity according to the requirements of the field and in accordance with the requirements of the standards of creative activity at the university, ensures funding of research (submission of grants, search for contractual cooperation on research),
- participates in the university's third role, especially in the form of popularizing creative activity and in the related administrative work and management,
- may participate in teaching in bachelor's or master's study programs or as a supervisor in doctoral study programs (including supervising and opposing theses).
Qualifications and other prerequisites:
- Ph.D. in psychology
- experience with research and project activities in the field of cognitive psychology for at least 15 years with an emphasis on international publications in recognized periodicals
- publication activity in the field of experimental and cognitive psychology
- EU research level: R3 - "Established" or R4 - "Leading"
- knowledge of the English language at C1 level
- experience with administrative work related to the management of work teams
- advanced experience in statistical data processing
