Associate professor for English Language

The Dean of the Faculty of Arts, University of Ostrava announces a selection procedure (ref. no. OU-81134/25-2020) to fill the following vacancy:
- 1 vacancy for academic staff member – associate professor for English Language
with a full-time contract at the Department of English and American Studies
Requirements:
- habilitation in field of translation and English;
- research and pedagogical specializations in English language and translation;
- publications in the field of English linquistics/translation during the last 5 years;
- potential for further career development;
- experience of working on grant-funded projects is welcome;
- independent, responsible and creative approach to work.
Wages:
- Wage grade 7 (as per the University of Ostrava's internal wage regulations).

Working hours:
- Full-time (100% of the standard contracted hours) or by agreement.
Expected starting date:

The first round of the selection procedure will involve the assessment of the materials sent by applicants. Only selected applicants will be invited to take part in the second round. The employer reserves the right to cancel the selection procedure or to decide not to accept any of the applications without stating the grounds for this decision.
