AnotationThe essence of the project is the involvement of four PhD students in a team work under a methodical guidance of two pedagogues. This team will focus on the study of methodical problems of social history of the interwar period and will carry out specific research of selected specific topics: the role and function of secondary education in the society, militarization of Physical Education, professionalization of police forces and the problem of social adaptation of Czech re-emigrants. Individual researchers will track these issues from the point of their dissertation topics, which connect issues of social development of Czechoslovak society during years 1918-1938. The composition of the team allows using various methodological approaches (research of various types of archive sources, application of specific historical methods of research), where their mutual combination will extend the possibilities of historical interpretations. The motivation for submitting this project is the effort to involve PhD students with related dissertation projects in team work and to start their independent scientific research with an emphasis on the quality of controllable outputs. The outputs of research will be realized in a form of scientific papers, studies in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in collective monographs, chapters of dissertation theses and active participation at the national or international scientific conferences.
