The Sociology degree provides key theoretical knowledge while also requiring students to become actively involved in sociological field research. The professional skills and knowledge acquired by students are tested throughout the programme via practical placements at a number of agencies and organizations. The degree emphasizes sociological aspects of contemporary society and focuses on selected current sociological issues. Some lectures are given in English (Level B1/B2 essential). However, the Department of Sociology also teaches other courses: you can study the modules “Basics of Television Journalism” and “HR Consultancy”. Students also have the opportunity to visit our partner universities in Europe as part of the Erasmus+ programme.
