Admission procedure | The course will take place if the minimum number of participants is 8 (max. number will not exceed 12; if the number of applicants is higher than the capacity of the course, the applicants shall be admitted on the basis of the date of the application submission). |
Abstract | The programme is a preparatory course for study at Czech public universities, mainly at the University of Ostrava; it is intended for other persons interested in Czech as a foreign language, too. The classes focus on universal language skills (sound and graphic apects, vocabulary and grammar – phonetic exercises – pronunciation of specific Czech speech sounds; a comparative aspect of grammar – interference; active / passive vocabulary acquisition and extension), comprehensive development of receptive and productive language skills for formal and informal communication (listening, reading, speaking and writing), and knowledge of the cultural, social and historical background of the Czech Republic. Participants who meet all demands of the course can achieve the A2 level of competence according to the European Reference Framework (ERF). |
Completion of study | A written and an oral examination after the first semester: level A2 (according to the ERF). |
Certificate | After the final examination, participants obtain a certificate of the programme completion including the examination assessment according to the European Referential Framework. |
